Once your formulation for your crop has been established, the best method to improve the performance of this formulation is based on plants actual uptake. This is measured by nutrient tests carried out at intervals. |
What you need to do for us to do crop nutrient uptake analysis 1. Water meter for your reservoir tanks or systems 2. Records weekly of nutrient and pH correction liquid use 3. A copy of your nutrient formulation 4. Samples sent to a water analysis laboratory 5. Actual m2 area that is used for growing 6. Description of structure (if any) and state of film or glass 7. Location that we use to define average regional light levels We can also provide a service where you take leaf samples and we get them analyzed. This analysis can tell us what is occurring in the plant as far as nutrient uptake is concerned and would identify any deficiencies or toxicity's. |
What leaf and uptake analysis don't tell us: 1. How the plants look 2. Health and nature of root system 3. Your growing practices 4. Any extraordinary events which may have occurred 5. Recent weather patterns In such cases a site visit or far more detailed discussion would be required. Many plant health issues are resolved over an extended period by trial and error and 'trying' various methods of resolution to the problem. |
We would encourage you to: 1. Regularly check the volume of nutrient being consumed by plants 2. Watch out for sudden declines or increases in solution pH 3. Keep a record of sprays and when nutrients are changed 4. Observe water consumption by plants via your water meter This information all helps us to identify the root cause of your growing challenges. Answers are often not clear and a step by step remedial approach is often best. |
